February 23, 2013 – Well here I am, over two years into this blog thing spewing my disdain about those moochers, looters, and parasites slithering around among us led by that insipid jerk they put in our White House. But what do I have to show for it all? Just some satisfaction knowing that I haven’t sat around on my capitalist ass complaining without cause or effect. I take comfort in being able to look into my families eyes and saying that I did something positive for their futures. I did everything in my power to try and stop that enemy of the United States from being elected and then re-elected. Like so many others who love America, my money and support went to those who shared my values as a responsible citizen. I have no regrets.

So now I just wait for the storm to blow over, the moochers to realize that there is no free ride, the looters to have no one left to steal from. By the end of Obama’s last term, hopefully the entire country will understand what has happened and what his intentions really were. They will know that we were right all along. There is no free health care for anyone. Jobs are still not there. 2nd amendment rights are being violated. Our freedoms and liberties continue to be infringed upon.

Is there any good news to come from my rantings about those leeches among us? Did anything really positive come from this blog? Well hell yes. I was mentioned in someones book. Today I would like to close by giving thanks to Mr. Geoffrey Nunberg for giving mention of me and my blog in his book titled, “The Ascent of the A-Word: Assholism, the First Sixty Years.”

Apparently my quote in an article of May 9, 2011 caught Nunberg’s eye, “Next time you’re in line waiting behind that welfare moocher, don’t forget to yell out “You’re Welcomed” as they walk away from the register with all that crap you just bought for them. Trust me, the look they will give you is worth it. If your lucky, they’ll smart off at you which will be your invitation to further humiliate their sorry ass. Yea, I know, I’m being insensitive. Cry me a freakin river.”

I am deeply honored to be listed and referenced along with people like Rush Limbaugh, Karl Rove, Newt Gingrich, Hank Williams Jr.,  and of course the asshole of all assholes, Bill O’Reilly.

Even though I’ve been quoted by the great @Talkmaster, Neal Boortz, in his own “Nealz Nuze,” this mention brings new light and hope for the future of The Roycroft Report and has inspired me to continue to strive for greatness among the ranks of all those other great assholes of the world. I am truly honored.

From my Gonzo journalist hero, the late Hunter S. Thompson, I leave you this quote which still holds true to this very day: “In a nation ruled by swine, all pigs are upwardly mobile—and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. We owe that to ourselves and our crippled self-image as something better than a nation of panicked sheep.”

So here’s to sticking it in the face of liberals and their candy ass politically correct ideas. -JRoycroft

Katie Pavlich’s New Book, “Fast and Furious,”

with 3 comments

April 21, 2012 – I have my own personal thoughts about the whole “Fast and Furious,” or as the feds call it, “Project Gunrunner, and it isn’t very pretty. (See also the ATF fact sheet)
Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. should be in Federal prison right now. Also, because his Department of Justice has refused to turn over key documents in the Department of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms gun-tracking investigation, and that the Obama administration is trying to hide its involvement in the program that allowed hundreds of U.S. weapons to fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. So maybe Obama needs his ass in Federal Prison too. Here is a book I recommend for you that details the Obama regime’s cover up of Project Gunrunner in an effort to miss lead Congress and you, the American people. -JRoycroft

Katie Pavlich’s new book, “Fast and Furious,” assembles the devastating evidence that implicates the Obama administration for its botched gun-walking operation and ensuing coverup to mislead Congress and the American people.

Few journalists have devoted as much time reporting on Fast and Furious as Pavlich. As the news editor of Townhall, she has asked questions the mainstream media ignored. Now her book pieces the story together for a complete picture of how a government-run operation turned deadly.

She’ll speak on Tuesday at noon ET at The Bloggers Briefing. Breitbart TV, in partnership with The Heritage Foundation, will air it live.

Operation Fast and Furious began in 2009 as an effort to eliminate high-level arms trafficking networks. Guns were allowed to “walk,” and rather than arresting straw purchasers and cartel buyers, hundreds were used to commit crimes in the United States and Mexico. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed with one in 2010, and an estimated 1,400 guns remain missing.

As previously documented by Breitbart News Network, Pavlich’s book contains new information questioning Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano’s testimony to Congress as well as the media’s efforts to shield the Obama administration from criticism.

The book details President Obama’s lifelong mission to subvert the Second Amendment, long before he was seeking federal office. Pavlich also documents how Fast and Furious plays into his administration’s anti-gun agenda. She cites a Washington Post story from Dec. 15, 2010, before details of Fast and Furious had emerged, in which federal authorities attempt to blame the rise in gun violence on U.S. gun shops.

The Post story referred to Project Gunrunner as an operation to inspect, interdict, and seize guns from straw purchasers. It did not mention an ATF operation to allow straw purchasers to buy guns for the Mexican drug cartels. Some of the very same ATF and Justice Department officials who blamed American gun shops for the spike in Mexican gun crime had in fact been helping the drug cartels to help themselves for over a year.

The book provides information from sources and whistleblowers who offer a behind-the-scenes perspective about the botched operation. One of them, ATF agent John Dodson, was punished for his decision to question why arrests weren’t made before the guns fell into the hands of ruthless criminals in Mexico.

Here’s a sneek peek into my soon to be released book, “Berlin, In a Time of Fear”

with 3 comments

Thought you might like an idea of what my first book will be about. The title, which may change before publication is – “Berlin, In a Time of Fear”

I am nearing it’s completion and thought some of you might be curious. So…here is a peek at the introduction page. By the way, because I copied and pasted from Word Perfect, it didn’t format to my blog correctly.

Introduction
This is the true story of my life as a seven year old Army brat living in Berlin Germany during 1961 – 1962. My father was part of the 2nd Battle Group 6th Infantry Regiment which was assigned to the Berlin Brigade. Their job was to protect the Western Sector of Berlin from a threatened Soviet invasion.
On August 13, 1961, the East Germans sealed all but seven of the crossing points between the Soviet Sector and West Berlin. Twenty-eight miles of barbed wire and barriers went up across the city over night to stop German citizens from leaving the Soviet Sector. The East German militia then began construction of the Berlin Wall. Tensions were very high and German families were separated by the wall. Many brave people died trying to escape from East Berlin, in a desperate effort to return to their families.
On October 27, 1961 at 5:00 pm until October 28, 1961 at about 11:00 am, American and Soviet tanks faced off at Check Point Charlie. As per standing orders, both groups of tanks were loaded with live munitions. The alert levels of the US Garrison in West Berlin, then NATO, and finally the US Strategic Air Command (SAC) were raised. Both groups of tanks had orders to fire if fired upon. The Soviets were prepared, and ready to invade the Western Sector with all it’s forces, including nuclear arms. We were on the brink of World War Three.
There are many stories to tell about my life growing up in a military family. This is but one of two historical incidents that impacted my life and our country. The 1961 Berlin Wall Crisis, and later, the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis which brought the United States to the realization that we were no longer an untouchable nation. This is my story. I was there at ground zero, right smack in the middle of it all, from beginning to end.

Ok folks, that’s all you get until it comes out. I’ll keep you updated as the release date nears.
